The men died when their microlight crashed near the summit of Ben More

Two men have died in a microlight aircraft accident on a munro in the southern Highlands.

The pair died yesterday after their machine crashed near the summit of Ben More near Crianlarich in Stirlingshire.

Central Scotland Police said neither man had been formally identified and it was still investigating the circumstances of the incident on the 1,174m (3,851ft) mountain.

Police were notified about noon yesterday, Saturday.

A police spokesperson said: “Two men have died, however neither have been identified.”
