A search is underway after reports a climber has fallen on a Highland peak where four people died in an avalanche in January.

Northern Constabulary said Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team is currently involved in the rescue on Bidean nam Bian.

Police said they received a report at about 3.20pm today that a man had fallen near the summit of the 1,150m (3,773ft) munro, the highest mountain in Argyll.

Drs Rachel Majumdar and Una Finnegan died in the avalanche earlier this year, along with PhD students Christopher Bell and Tom Chesters.
