The girl was walking with a group on Place Fell
A girl had to be stretchered from a Lake District mountain after she became dizzy and was unable to carry on.
The 12-year-old was walking with a group from Outward Bound Ullswater yesterday when she got into difficulties on Place Fell.
Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team was called out about 3.15pm and eight volunteer members were involved in a three hour rescue.
A team spokesperson said: “The female was assessed on scene by the team and as a precaution, transported off Place Fell using the team stretcher down to Sandwick where she was able to rejoin her friends.”

I'm a seasoned walker, have walked all the Welsh HEWITTS, all the Wainwrights in one calendar year and yet I've still had the odd light headed episode..
it can happen to the best of us..
