Police have named a man who fell to his death from a Cairngorms mountain earlier this month.

Corin Castle, 21, of Canterbury, Kent, fell 600ft in Gleann Eanaich, suffering fatal injuries.

Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team was joined at the scene on 4 July by a Sea King search and rescue helicopter from RAF Lossiemouth, after one of his companions raised the alarm

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”

Mr Castle was a student at Nottingham University.
