Terence Kilbride, who may be camping in Aberdeenshire

Police say they are concerned for a man who may be camping in Aberdeenshire.

Police Scotland said they are now treating Warrington man Terrence Kilbride as a missing person.

It follows the discovery of two bags of personal items found on Saturday in the Bridge of Dee area. Concern for the 48-year-old man’s welfare was reported on Monday.

Inspector David Paterson said: “Given the recent inclement weather we are extremely concerned to trace Mr Kilbride and confirm he is safe and well and we are treating this as a missing person enquiry.

“A photograph, which is a few years old, of Mr Kilbride has been provided and we are asking people to see if they recognise him.

“Mr Kilbride is known to go camping and spend time outdoors and it is thought he may have been camping in the Aberdeen or Aberdeenshire areas. It is also thought that he may have a bicycle with him.

“If you have any information which may help us trace Mr Kilbride please contact us on 101.”

Mr Kilbride is described as 6ft (1.83m) tall with short dark greying hair. He has blue eyes.
