Further searches by rescue teams in the Highlands have failed to find missing walker Martin Rhodes.

Members of Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Teams concentrated their operation on Sunday on mountains in the Fisherfield Forest to the North of Kinlochewe in Wester Ross.

They were joined by Torridon team members of and animals and handlers from Search and Rescue Dogs Association Scotland and the Inverness Coastguard helicopter, supporting 44 mountain rescue team members in the hunt for the walker from West Yorkshire.

The 46-year-old experienced hillwalker has not been seen since setting out for a walk from his accommodation in Kinlochewe on 1 May.

Andy Beaton of Dundonnell MRT said: “Fisherfield Forest contains some of the most inaccessible mountains in the UK.
