A walker was rescued after injuring herself in a fall at a Highland beauty spot.

Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team was alerted to the incident by police about midday yesterday, Saturday, after the woman fell while walking near Steall Falls, Glen Nevis.

The 37-year-old, from Surrey, was treated by members of the team who then helped her to safety. She was then taken to Belford Hospital, Fort William, for further treatment to injuries police described as non-life threatening.

Fourteen team members took part in the rescue.

Northern Constabulary said the woman’s details were not being released.
